Death to Fugly Political WordArt: Why I Decided to Make My Own Line of Harris Walz Merch

So uh, most political merch out there is, well... kind of terrible. I figured I couldn't be the only one exasperated by all the mediocre Fiverr designs that look like someone slapped some text onto a template and called it a day. You know the ones I’m talking about, right? Clunky default fonts, mismatched colors, terrible kerning, and that all-too-familiar WordArt vibe.
I don't mean to be a design snob. But... c'mon. Politics are really important, now more than ever. And we all deserve better than this.
Narrator: "And that's why she made Maybe Go Vote!"
I wanted something cool. Something that'd make people say "I like your shirt!". Something that doesn’t look like it was designed by a third grader who just discovered PowerPoint.
So I decided to make the Harris Walz merch I wanted to see in the world!
Supporting the Harris Walz 2024 campaign
When you purchase from Maybe Go Vote, you’re supporting a small artist (thaaat's me!) while also directly contributing to the Harris Walz 2024 campaign. A portion of the net profits is donated to them on a monthly basis, and I’m also sending some of this illustrated merch to their HQ and volunteers for free!
If you’d like to support their campaign further, I highly recommend checking out their official merch store—they have some fantastic items. That being said, everything might not suit everyone’s taste, and with popular pieces like their Midwest Princess camo hat sold out until mid-October (just weeks before the election on Nov. 5), I wanted to create some alternatives to keep their names visible and proudly worn (I've got a camo hat too!)
Why "We’re Not Going Back" to fugly merch
If you’re going to spend your hard-earned cash on something, it should be worth every penny—not just in what it stands for, but in how you feel when you're wearing it.
Whether it’s a Kamala shirt to remind everyone around that "We're Not Going Back," or to "Say It To My Face", every piece of merch at Maybe Go Vote is made to stand out.
And let’s be honest—when you’re wearing something you love, you’re more likely to talk about it, show it off, and spread the message. That’s why I’m here: to help you wear your progressive values with pride, not with a sigh of “I mean, I guess this is fine.”
Bye-bye bland... Hello badass!
So, if you’re tired of settling for less-than-stellar campaign swag, it’s time to level up your pro-democracy merch game. Maybe Go Vote isn’t just about supporting the Harris Walz campaign; it’s about doing it in style.*
Browse the collection, find your new favorite Kamala shirt or Harris Walz hat, and let the world know where you stand—without sacrificing your sense of style. Because, at the end of the day, your political merch should be as awesome as the future you’re fighting for.
* Maybe Go Vote is also a firm believer in informing people how to make their voice heard at the ballot box! Don’t forget to check out vote.gov for all the info you need on registering to vote, finding your polling place, and making sure your voice is heard this election!
